I smoked my first Hoyo in Cincinatti on a business trip. Went to an awesome cigar bar with dark wood, jazz music, excellent port ( of which I drank the cheap stuff ), and an early 1900's meat-locker converted into a walk -in humidor. I went in lookiing for an Onyx cigar and found they had none in stock but they suggested the Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona. It was an wonderful cigar that made the 30 minute walk in search of this bar, well worth the effort. In fact, I returned two nights later to grab a few more... Started smoking Onyx because it had a dark skin... We knew we liked maduros and they usually sported a deep brown/black wrapper. Onyx - Draw: a little dense Nose-Exhale Test: Passed Even-Burn: sometimes Length of Smoke: .75 hours Cost me: $4 Comments: Very good. Would recommend for those just starting. | ||||||||||||||||
